In Kansas City, Myles Straw hit 2 doubles at Monarch Stadium as the Hawaii Islanders beat the reeling Kansas City Monarchs in 10 innings by the count of 7 to 5.
The score was tied at 5 after nine. Hawaii won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Akil Baddoo started the rally when he lined a single driving in a run. Royce Lewis was next and he stroked a single. Michael Harris got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Straw was up next and he stroked a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning.
