Olson Homers Twice as Saints Claim Top Spot in SW; Alleghenys Hand Colts 10th Straight Loss

Salt Lake City (UBAN) - Matt Olson smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Aaron Nola retired 12 batters
on strikeouts at Saints Field as the Salt Lake City Saints beat the Chicago Otters 4 to 0 to move into first place in the Southwest.
Olson made sure the Salt Lake City fans enjoyed themselves. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st inning and delivered a solo blast in the 8th inning. Salt Lake City rapped out 8 hits for the night.
The victory was credited to Nola(4-2) who went 8 innings, allowing no runs. Domingo German(4-2) was charged with the loss. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Nola offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands.
Fortunately, I kept them busy tonight - of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
Brandon Nimmo had 4 hits and 2 RBI at PNC Park as the Pittsburgh Alleghenys beat the ice-cold Dallas Colts 5 to 1.
Kyle Freeland(2-2) gave a fine effort for Pittsburgh. He surrendered 10 hits and no walks in 6 and 2/3 innings lowering his ERA to 3.44. Pittsburgh had a total of 10 hits for the game. Brandon Belt added his fourth homerun of the season for the winners.
Freeland got help from Tyler Holton who earned his 5th save. Sandy Alcantara(2-4) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 9 hits and no walks in 6 innings.
