Jacksonville *UBAN) - Josh Jung had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Jacks Field where the Jacksonville Jacks beat the Washington Federals 11 to 7.
Jacksonville brought 5 runs across the plate in the 2nd inning with the help of 5 hits. It was enough scoring to earn the victory. Jacksonville ended up with 15 hits for the game while Washington had 8.
The victory was credited to Trevor Williams(3-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs. Williams got relief help from Hayden Wesneski who gained credit for his 3rd save. Carlos Carrasco(2-4) was charged with the loss.
39,376 fans were treated to a fine game at Wranglers Park as only one run separated the combatants at game's end. The Buffalo Bisons snapped a 5 game losing streak and won by the slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.
Buffalo came up with 3 runs in the 5th inning. The biggest moment was provided by Harrison Bader who quieted the home crowd when he belted a three-run homer. San Antonio had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
The win went to Steven Matz(3-1) who allowed 3 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Matz was helped out by Tyler Rogers* who recorded his 6th save. Cole Irvin(2-1) was hit with the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings.
