'Lemurs Erase 9 - 0 Deficit in Memphis, Win 18 - 11; Sounds Scratch Out Win Over Wranglers

Memphis (UBAN) - Right fielder Nick Martini recorded 4 RBI with one swing when he ripped a grand slam at Marauders Park as the Vancouver Death Lemurs beat the Memphis Marauders by the count of 18 to 11.
Martini led the offense for Vancouver. He slapped a one-base hit in the 6th inning, gave the Lemurs the lead when he emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning and doubled which scored a run in the 8th inning. Vancouver provided plenty of action in the 7th inning when they had 6 runs on 4 hits and the 8th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 5 hits. Vancouver simply wore out the Memphis pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
James Karinchak(2-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Jeff Hoffman got the save, his 2nd. Alex Young(1-3) suffered the loss in relief.
Alex Call had 2 base hits as the Nashville Sounds outscored the San Antonio Wranglers in 10 innings 7 to 5.
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Nashville won it in the 10th inning. Mitch Haniger kicked off the action when he ripped a one-base hit. Eric Haase next to the plate and he doubled knocking in a run. Trayce Thompson then drew a walk to load the bases. A balk was called bringing in another run. After an out was recorded, Adam Ottavino then uncorked a wild pitch scoring the final run of the inning. Nashville had 8 hits for the night.
Jhoan Duran(3-2) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Ottavino(0-2) was hit with the loss in relief. By surrending 3 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings his ERA jumped from 3.48 to 4.09.
With this win, Nashville has a 16-29 record. They have been 5-5 lately. With the loss, San Antonio has a record of 4-6 lately, 24-22 overall.
