Monarchs, Schwarber, Outslug Otters; Torkelson Leads :Lemurs Over Aguilas Doradas in 10

Chicago (UBAN) - Left fielder Kyle Schwarber rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Kansas City Monarchs defeated the Chicago Otters 13 to 8 at Otter Park.
Schwarber enjoyed a big day at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning and delivered a solo blast in the 6th inning. Even though they scored in 5 different innings, Chicago was not able to pull off the win.
Tylor Megill(3-5) went 5 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Peter Lambert(1-3) was the losing pitcher. He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
Spencer Torkelson blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Vancouver Death Lemurs beat the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas in 10 innings by a score of 4 to 3.
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings. Vancouver came out on top in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Torkelson stroked a one-base hit giving Vancouver the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Both teams finished the game with 6 hits.
A.J. Puk(5-2) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Xzavion Curry(1-2) was the loser in relief. He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
