Hernandez Stars as Milwaukee Grounds the Aguilas; Wheeler Earns Wings as Angels Wallap Highlanders

Mexico City (UBAN) - Second baseman Enrique Hernandez blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Milwaukee Stars bested the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 8 to 3 at El Nido de Aguilas.
Hernandez had a good evening at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 8th inning. Overall Milwaukee out-hit Mexico City 14 to 6.
Seth Lugo(6-1) went 7 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. The losing pitcher was Hunter Brown(3-4). Milwaukee knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 5 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
The Milwaukee ballclub's record now stands at 31-27. Mexico City has a record of 33-26 after the loss.
Zack Wheeler retired 11 batters on strikeouts at Angel Stadium as the Los Angeles Angels beat the New York Highlanders by the count of 9 to 3.
Wheeler(5-5) pitched a fine game. He was reached for 4 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings and surrendered 2 homeruns. Los Angeles finished with 8 hits while New York ended up with 5.
Will Vest was credited with his 8th save. Jacob Webb(2-1) absorbed the loss in relief. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Wheeler - except New York. Eddie Murray lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
