Schwarber Leads Monarchs Over Longhorns; Stars Come All The Way Back to Walk-Off Blues

Kansas City (UBAN) - Left fielder Kyle Schwarber knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Justin Topa had a strong outing as the Kansas City Monarchs defeated the Indianapolis Longhorns 5 to 1 at Monarch Stadium.
Schwarber helped send the fans home happy. He clubbed a solo home run in the 6th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 7th inning. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning.
Topa(2-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 3 innings. Adrian Houser(3-5) was hit with the loss. He surrendered 4 hits and 1 walk in 5 and 1/3 innings.
The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the Milwaukee Stars staged a comeback win over the New Orleans Blues by the count of 6 to 4.
Milwaukee had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 3 runs on 3 base hits. Enrique Hernandez opened up the inning nicely when he delivered a one-base hit. T.J. Friedl followed and he doubled. After an out was recorded, Bryan Reynolds then clubbed a three-run home run giving Milwaukee the win as 41,125 happy fans joyfully celebrated. For the game Milwaukee out-hit New Orleans 10 to 7.
David Robertson(1-3) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Ryan Weber(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. 'Wow, that was fun!', Robertson said following the game. 'Once in a while you play a game that reminds you just why you got into this business to begin with!'
