J.D. Powers Stars to Win Over Blues; 'Lemurs Ride Rengifo's 4 Hits to Lop-Sided Win

Milwaukee (UBAN) - J.D. Davis blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Miller Park as the Milwaukee Stars beat the New Orleans Blues 5 to 1.
Davis had a big evening at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 6th inning and doubled in the 8th inning. Milwaukee had 10 hits overall, while New Orleans had 5.
The win was credited to Ryan Brasier(2-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs. Kyle Hendricks(6-3) was hit with the loss. 'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Davis said. 'Whenever I would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
Luis Rengifo had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Vancouver Death Lemurs bested the San Francisco Seals 10 to 3 at Death Lemur Field.
Vancouver jumped on top of San Francisco in the 2nd inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Alejandro Kirk who came through for the home fans when he bombed a two-run dinger. Vancouver rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.
Michael Wacha(3-4) allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. Justin Steele(3-5) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
