Toledo (UBAN) - Freddy Peralta struck out 15 batters at Klinger Field as the Toledo Mud Hens beat the Jacksonville Jacks by the count of 4 to 2.
Peralta(3-7) gave Toledo a solid outing. He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings reducing his ERA from 4.58 to 4.25. Jacksonville threatened in the 9th but Toledo was able to put down the rally.
Gregory Soto gained credit for his 13th save. Taijuan Walker(3-6) was charged with the loss. Peralta was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.'
Corbin Burnes(6-3) and Logan Webb(6-4) dueled it out with Burnes and the Chicago Otters coming out on top of the San Francisco Seals by the score of 1 to 0.
Chicago drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run using 2 hits. Jarren Duran tripled. Maikel Garcia came to the plate and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run. That scoring would be all that was needed. Paul Sewald was perfect in the ninth giving him his 6th save on the season.
