Indianapolis (UBAN) - Jordan Montgomery went 8 strong innings at Longhorn Stadium as the Louisville
Sluggers belted the Indianapolis Longhorns by the count of 15 to 1.
Anthony Santander propelled Louisville to victory. He lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 5th inning, delivered a one-base hit which was good for two runs in the 6th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 9th inning. Louisville kept the scorekeepers busy in the 5th inning
which saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits, the 7th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits and the 9th inning with 4 runs on 4 hits. Louisville had 21 hits for the game and Indianapolis had 4.
Montgomery(10-3) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Adrian Houser(3-6) was given the loss. 'I felt great out there today,' Santander said, 'Maybe I should make a regular habit of getting to bed on time!'
Alec Marsh pitched 4 strong innings at Babe Ruth Park where the New York Highlanders beat the Buffalo Bisons by the score of 5 to 3.
Luke Jackson(4-1) was brilliant in relief and registered the victory. He did not allow a baserunner in his 1/3 of an inning. Buffalo threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Chase Anderson(2-6) suffered the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 4 and 1/3 innings of work. Despite losing Willie Randolph was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one of a dozen little things go different, and we
come out on top.'
