Elite Giants Get By BPP on Strength of Robert's Bat; Blues Complete Sweep of Chiefs in 2 - 1 Thrill

Baltimore (UBAN) - Luis Robert smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Miguel Castro performed beautifully in relief as the Baltimore Elite Giants defeated the Oakland Black Panthers by the score of 7 to 6 at Roy Campanella Field.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance provided by Robert. He lined a base-hit in the 3rd inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 5th inning and ripped a solo home run in the 7th inning. Oakland was retired without difficulty in the 9th.
Seranthony Dominguez(3-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Dominguez was helped out by Castro who recorded his 4th save. Gregory Santos(2-2) ended up with the loss in relief.
Baltimore continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division leading 38-26. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Oakland has a record of 29-37, worst in the division after the loss.
At Truist Park, the Atlanta fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Edward Cabrera(6-1) finally bested his Atlanta opposite, Patrick Corbin(2-5), by the score of 2 to 1.
Cabrera pitched a fine game. He allowed 7 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings lowering his ERA to 3.14. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Ryan Weber recorded his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Corbin. He gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings.
