Saint Walk-Off Braves on Knizer Solo Blast; Gilbert Outduels Snell as Wranglers Edge 'Lemurs

Salt Lake City (UBAN) - In a thriling finish the Salt Lake City Saints pulled off the win over the San Diego Braves by a score of 4 to 3 at Saints Field.
The game was won by Salt Lake City with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Andrew Knizner lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' making Salt Lake City the winners and sending the 45,006 fans home happy. San Diego had 9 hits in the game while Salt Lake City had 5, but Salt Lake City had the more timely hits.
Hoby Milner(2-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Ryan Pepiot(0-1) took the loss in relief. He pitched 3 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 3 walks.
Logan Gilbert came through with a solid 8 innings and Gleyber Torres jacked one out of the ballyard at Wranglers Park where the San Antonio Wranglers beat the Vancouver Death Lemurs 2 to 1.
San Antonio had 1 run cross the plate in the bottom of the 5th inning. Kirby Yates was perfect in relief and got the save, his 1st.
The victory was credited to Gilbert(10-3) who went 8 innings, allowing 1 run. Blake Snell(7-4) was the losing pitcher. Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 13 batters in 8 innings.
