Ramirez Drives in 6 as Seals Edge Aguilas; 'Lemurs Rally to Tie Giants in 9, Then Win in 10

Mexico City (UBAN) - The San Francisco Seals nipped the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 9 to 8 at El Nido de Aguilas in a hard fought contest.
Jose Ramirez was really in 'the zone'. He doubled plating all three baserunners in the 2nd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 6th inning and lined a single in the 8th inning. Mexico City threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Pablo Lopez(10-5) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Raisel Iglesias recorded his 9th save. The loss was charged to Hunter Brown(3-6).
'I just got in the box, looked for a pitch and swung,' Ramirez said. 'That's it'
Spencer Torkelson touched them all and had 2 RBI at Death Lemur Field as the Vancouver Death Lemurs beat the Baltimore Elite Giants in 10 innings by the count of 6 to 5.
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Vancouver came out the victor in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Chris Taylor got things going when he drew a walk. After another out, Xander Bogaerts came up and he stroked a base-hit resulting in a mighty exciting win for Vancouver and the 48,982 home town fans in attendance. The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing 5 times.
The win went to Genesis Cabrera(3-1) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Emmanuel Clase(4-1) absorbed the loss in relief. Wth the win Vancouver now has a record of 44-41. With the loss, Baltimore has a record of 3-7 lately, 48-35 overall.
