Garcia Collects Four Hits, Wheeler Whiffs 15 as Angels Fly; Braves Break Open Scoreless Tie with 6-R

Mexico City (UBAN) - Adolis Garcia had 4 hits and Zack Wheeler reeled off a total of 15 strikeouts as the Los Angeles Angels outscored the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 5 to 0.
Wheeler(7-6) simply dominated Mexico City. He allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings lowering his ERA from 3.63 to 3.38. Los Angeles finished with 10 hits while Mexico City ended up with 4.
Jose Berrios(9-5) took the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 innings of work. 'Everything felt great' Wheeler said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody tonight.'
Gerrit Cole racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the San Diego Braves defeated the Toledo Mud Hens in 10 innings by the score of 6 to 0 at Klinger Field.
The score was a scoreless tie after nine. Finally, San Diego prevailed in the 10th inning. The critical plate appearance was by Bobby Witt Jr who silenced the stadium when he ripped a base-hit bringing home two baserunners. San Diego had only 6 hits for the game.
Ryan Pepiot(6-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Gregory Soto(6-3) was hit with the loss in relief. He gave up 3 runs and 2 hits in 2/3 of an inning.
