Riley 3-Run Homer Provides Aguilas With 11th Inning Win Over Angels; Sounds Like a Sweep as Haase Po

Mexico City (UBAN) - Austin Riley had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas outscored the Los Angeles Angels in 11 innings 6 to 4.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings and 3 runs after ten. Mexico City came out on top in the 11th inning. Ji-Hwan Bae initiated the scoring spurt when he slapped a base-hit. Mookie Betts followed next and he was hit by a pitch. Luis Campusano then grounded into a double play. Riley was up next and he lost the ball over the fence for three runs making Mexico City the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Mexico City had 12 hits for the afternoon.
The win went to Aroldis Chapman(3-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning. Nick Sandlin(2-4) absorbed the loss in relief. He allowed 3 runs and 2 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
With this win, Mexico City has a 53-41 record. They have been 6-4 lately. Los Angeles has a record of 54-38 after the loss.
The Nashville Sounds readily handled Baltimore Elite Giants by a score of 9 to 5 at Sounds Field.
Eric Haase provided much of the offense. He launched a three-run homer in the 2nd inning, ripped a single in the 6th inning and doubled clearing the bases in the 7th inning. Baltimore had 12 hits in the game while Nashville had 7, but Nashville had the more timely hits.
Brandon Williamson(4-5) went 5 innings allowing no runs for the win. Williamson got help from Luis Cessa who earned his 1st save. Andrew Heaney(6-11) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 5 runs and 5 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
