Gorman Homers 3 Times as Longhorns Tame Wranglers; Soto Slam Lifts Blues Over Sluggers

Indianapolis (UBAN) - Nolan Gorman slammed 3 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Indianapolis Longhorns beat the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 10 to 4.
Gorman enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, ripped a solo home run in the 4th inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 6th inning. Although they lost, San Antonio did out-hit Indianapolis 14 to 10.
Logan Allen(6-9) allowed 2 runs in 5 innings, and picked up the victory. Jesus Luzardo(10-8) was hit with the loss. 'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Gorman said. 'We played well together as a team.'
The New Orleans Blues offense put up 4 runs on the scoreboard in the 7th inning and bested the Louisville Sluggers by a 7 to 4 score at Sluggers Park.
Juan Soto had a big day against Louisville. He emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning and doubled in the 9th inning. Overall New Orleans out-hit Louisville 9 to 5.
Jay Jackson(4-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings. Bryan Abreu gained credit for his 18th save. Daniel Coulombe(3-4) absorbed the loss in relief.
With this win, New Orleans has a division leading 60-38 record. They have been 7-3 lately. With this loss, Louisville has a 6-4 record of late, 46-54 overall.
