Jeffers Provides All The Offense in Stars' Victory; Marte, Marauders, Halt Blues' Streak at 10

Los Angeles (UBAN) - Catcher Ryan Jeffers ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Bryce Miller went 7 strong innings at Angel Stadium as the Milwaukee Stars beat the Los Angeles Angels 4 to 0.
Jeffers was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided all of the offense for the visitors. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 2nd inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 6th inning. Overall Milwaukee out-hit Los Angeles 6 to 2.
Miller(6-8) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. Cristian Javier(13-4) was the loser. He gave up 6 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
Clarke Schmidt(5-8) and Justin Verlander(10-7) dueled it out with Schmidt and the Memphis Marauders coming out on top of the New Orleans Blues by the score of 2 to 0.
Schmidt earned his pay with a solid performance for Memphis. He went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 walks. Memphis had 7 hits for the game and New Orleans had 3.
Sammy Peralta earned his 1st save. The loss ended New Orleans current winning streak at ten games.
