Carroll, Jacks, Rally Past Bisons; Sounds Continue Mastery of Knights With 11 Inning Win

Buffalo (UBAN) - Corbin Carroll had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Gabe Speier quieted any hopes that Buffalo may have had of a comeback at Sal Maglie Stadium where the Jacksonville Jacks beat the Buffalo Bisons by the score of 8 to 7.
Jacksonville brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning. The key offensive moment was provided by Christopher Morel who silenced the stadium when he doubled plating all three baserunners. Speier, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 12th save.
Joe La Sorsa(5-4) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Chris Murphy(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was knocked around, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
Brandon Williamson had a strong outing as the Nashville Sounds defeated the Seattle Knights in 11 innings 5 to 4 at Sounds Field.
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings. Nashville came out the victor in the 11th inning. After two outs Jose Leclerc came to the plate and uncorked a wild pitch. Luis Garcia was next and he doubled driving in a run. Dominic Canzone then doubled making Nashville the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Nashville had 12 hits for the game and Seattle had 5.
Jhoan Duran(5-6) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 2 innings.
Leclerc(2-2) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit
in 2 and 1/3 innings.
