Gray, Muncy Key Marlins Win Over Blues; Seals Come Back Twice to Edge Marauders

New Orleans (UBAN) - In a one-sided affair the Miami Marlins batters pounded the New Orleans Blues pitchers for 11 runs while Josiah Gray(2-11), with relief help from Mark Leiter, surrendered 3 runs to New Orleans.
Max Muncy enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He laced a single knocking in a run in the 3rd inning, laced a base-hit plating a run in the 4th inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 8th inning. Miami kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.
Alex Cobb(10-5) was hit with the loss. Miami scored big getting 7 runs off him in 3 and 1/3 innings. The Miami ballclub's record now stands at 67-50. With the loss, New Orleans has a record of 6-4 lately, 72-45 overall.
With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, incredible San Francisco Seals came from behind to top Memphis Marauders, 10 to 9.
San Francisco had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 2 hits. J.D. Martinez started the scoring when he clubbed a solo home run. Shea Langeliers came to the plate and smashed a solo-shot out of the park making San Francisco the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful. San Francisco finished with 13 hits while Memphis ended up with 10.
The victory was credited to Raisel Iglesias(3-3) who went 1 inning, allowing 1 run. Reynaldo Lopez(4-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.
