Wacha, Varsho Lead Wranglers Over Seals; Semien Collects 4 Hits as Alleghenys Top Marlins

San Antonio (UBAN) - Michael Wacha had a strong outing as the amazing San Antonio Wranglers beat the San Francisco Seals by a score of 7 to 2.
San Antonio came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning when they scored 5 runs on 4 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Daulton Varsho who made the San Antonio fans a happy lot when he rifled a three-run blast. For the game San Antonio out-hit San Francisco 9 to 5.
Hunter Stratton(1-0) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Andrew Saalfrank(0-1) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
Marcus Semien had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Pittsburgh Alleghenys topped the struggling Miami Marlins by a score of 6 to 3 at Marlins Park.
Pittsburgh had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 3 runs on 5 hits. After an out was recorded, Mike Moustakas keyed the rally when he doubled. Jared Triolo was next and he stroked a single, and an error was also committed, bringing in a run. Nick Fortes then was hit by a pitch. Whit Merrifield stepped in and he ripped a base-knock driving in one more runner. Evan Phillips then picked Merrifield off first base. Semien did his part to keep things going and ripped a base-knock scoring the final run of the inning. Miami was out-hit by Pittsburgh, 13 hits to 6.
Jordan Weems(2-3) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Kyle Finnegan(3-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
