Turner Slam in First Seals Chiefs; Fate; Saints Top Highlanders in 10-Inning Slug Fest

Atlanta (UBAN) - Justin Turner recorded 4 RBI with one swing when he ripped a grand slam at Truist Park as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Atlanta Chiefs by the count of 6 to 3.
Los Angeles promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they scored 4 runs on 3 hits. That early scoring was all that Cristian Javier(15-5) needed. Los Angeles ended up with 14 hits for the game while Atlanta had 10.
Andres Munoz gained credit for his 11th save. The loss was charged to Patrick Corbin(6-7). He was unable to control the Los Angeles offense and allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
The Salt Lake City Saints defeated the New York Highlanders in 10 innings by a score of 12 to 9 at Babe Ruth Park.
The score was knotted at 9 after nine innings. Salt Lake City ended up winning it in the 10th inning. Owen Miller jump-started the rally as he slapped a single. Jose Caballero followed and he lofted a three-run 'big-fly'. New York was out-hit by Salt Lake City, 15 hits to 10.
Hoby Milner(3-3) went 1/3 of an inning allowing 2 runs for the win. Milner got relief help from Jake Diekman who gained credit for his 2nd save. Josh Winckowski(2-2) took the loss in relief. He was knocked around, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
