Berti Bingle Clinches Longhorn Win Over Knights; Browns Score 6 in 10th to Breeze Past Islanders

Indianapolis (UBAN) - Jon Berti had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Indianapolis Longhorns outscored the Seattle Knights in 10 innings 5 to 4.
The score was tied at 4 after nine. Indianapolis won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Trevor Larnach drew a walk. Fernando Tatis Jr followed, but he was set down on strikes. Berti then smacked a single giving Indianapolis the victory and sending the 29,704 home-town fans home happy. Seattle had 11 hits in the game while Indianapolis had 5, but Indianapolis had the more timely hits.
Ron Marinaccio(1-1) allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Elvis Peguero(3-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
The Indianapolis ballclub's record now stands at 50-78. Seattle has a record of 81-48 after the loss.
First baseman Andrew Vaughn had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the St. Louis Browns bested the Hawaii Islanders in 10 innings 10 to 5 at Aloha Stadium.
