Salt Lake City (UBAN) - Dane Dunning mowed down 10 Salt Lake City batters at Saints Field where the San Diego Braves beat the Salt Lake City Saints by the score of 3 to 1.
Dunning(6-10) gave San Diego a solid outing. He allowed only 3 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings. For the game San Diego out-hit Salt Lake City 7 to 3.
Josh Hader was credited with his 27th save. The losing pitcher was Cole Ragans(9-5). Despite the loss, he struckout 10 San Diego batters in 6 innings.
Dunning was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches tonight. But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
Tarik Skubal pitched 7 strong innings as the dominant Seattle Knights beat the San Francisco Seals by a score of 6 to 4.
Seattle jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating 2 runs on 2 base hits. Mickey Moniak got things rolling when he cracked a solo homerun. J.P. Crawford came to the plate and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. San Francisco had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Skubal(10-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing 1 run. Joe Boyle(1-1) suffered the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings.
