Altuve Plates 7 Runs as Highlanders Romp; Adames Homers as Angels Edge Wranglers

New Orleans (UBAN) - Jose Altuve knocked 2 homeruns and had 7 RBI as the New York Highlanders topped the New Orleans Blues by a score of 12 to 5 at The House of Blues.
Altuve had a big day at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 2nd inning, doubled which was good for two runs in the 3rd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 9th inning. New York had 17 hits overall, while New Orleans had 10.
The win went to Reid Detmers(10-8) who allowed 4 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Kyle Hendricks(15-6) was the loser. Wth the win New York now has a record of a division leading 86-51. With the loss, the New Orleans ballclub's record is 85-53.
Willy Adames slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at Angel Stadium where the Los Angeles Angels beat the San Antonio Wranglers by the score of 2 to 1.
Los Angeles scored 2 runs in the decisive bottom of the 4th inning. Aaron Judge opened up the inning nicely when he delivered a one-base hit. Lourdes Gurriel struck out, unable to help the rally. After another out, Adames then cracked a two-run shot. San Antonio threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Cristian Javier(16-5) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 7 innings. Will Vest earned his 19th save. Sonny Gray(18-3) was the loser. He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and 4 walks.
