Dansby Hits Walk-Off Slam in the 16th to Beat Browns; Campusano Clout Lifts Aguilas Over Saints

San Antonio (UBAN) - Dansby Swanson blasted a grand slam and Phil Maton came through with a solid 3 innings as the amazing San Antonio Wranglers outscored the St. Louis Browns in 16 innings 8 to 5.

Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. San Antonio won the game in the 16th inning. The big moment was provided by Swanson who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer. The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.

Huascar Brazoban(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Craig Kimbrel(2-7) was given the loss in relief. San Antonio scored big getting 5 runs off him in 2 innings.

Mookie Betts cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas

came back to win one over Salt Lake City Saints, 7 to 6.

Mexico City scored the winning runs in the 9th inning plating 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Eddie Rosario began the Mexico City spurt when he slapped a single. Luis Campusano next to the plate and he blasted a two-run home run. The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.

The victory went to Andrew Wantz(1-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs. Camilo Doval got the save, his 36th. The loss was charged to A.J. Minter(3-6) in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in 2/3 of an inning.

John Smoltz was all smiles after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a beautiful feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could have heard a pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes baseball so great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til its over.'
