Raleigh Slam Lifts Highlanders to Victory Over Elite Giants; Browns' Homer Barrage Buries Wranglers

New York (UBAN) - The New York Highlanders easily topped the Baltimore Elite Giants; the final score was 7 to 2.

New York had the winning rally in the 8th inning when they came up with 6 runs on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Cal Raleigh who electrified Babe Ruth Park when he emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun. New York totaled 7 hits on the night.

Sam Moll(5-3) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Zach Jackson(1-2) was the loser in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and 1 walk in 1/3 of an inning.

Designated hitter Rowdy Tellez ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the St. Louis Browns beat the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 7 to 3.

Tellez enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning and belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning. San Antonio out-hit St. Louis 13 to 8, but St. Louis ended up with more runs.

Jacob Degrom(2-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 5 innings. Mauricio Llovera got the save, his 2nd. Sonny Gray(18-4) was the loser. St. Louis now has a record of 65-75. With the loss, San Antonio has a record of 6-4 lately, 84-56 overall.
