Bisons Score Final 7 Runs to Walk-Off Mud Hens; Islanders Score Last 8 Runs To Beat Braves

Buffalo (UBAN) - The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the Buffalo Bisons staged a comeback win over the Toledo Mud Hens by the count of 12 to 11.
Buffalo scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Davis Schneider began the rally when he drew a walk. Harrison Bader followed next and he doubled which scored a run. Steven Kwan then banged out a single giving Buffalo the victory as
16,321 happy fans celebrated wildly. Toledo was not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames.
Drey Jameson(6-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and allowing no runs. Gregory Soto(8-5) was the losing pitcher in relief.

In a close game the Hawaii Islanders got by the San Diego Braves by the score of 8 to 6.
The Hawaii fans enjoyed the offense provided by Akil Baddoo. He ripped a single in the 3rd inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 5th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 8th inning. San Diego was out-hit by Hawaii, 12 hits to 9.
The winning pitcher was Kendall Graveman(3-4) who allowed no runs in 3 innings. Matt Brash recorded his 5th save. Jeff Brigham(1-3) absorbed the loss in relief.
Wth the win Hawaii now has a record of 66-76. With this loss, San Diego has a 5-5 record of late, 73-69 overall.
