Lopez Fans 16, Seals Rally to Win in 10; Cole, Braves Blank Wranglers; Aguilas Make it 12 Straight

Vancouver (UBAN) - Pablo Lopez whiffed 16 batters and third baseman Jose Ramirez slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the very potent San Francisco Seals defeated the Vancouver Death Lemurs in 10 innings by a score of 3 to 2 at Death Lemur Field.
The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. Finally, San Francisco pulled the game out in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Ramirez jump-started the scoring when he blasted a two-run home run. Both teams totaled 6 hits on the night.
The win was credited to Raisel Iglesias(6-3) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run. Zack Thompson(1-8) took the loss in relief. He pitched 5 innings and surrendered just 2 hits and 1 walk.
First baseman Ryan O'Hearn had 2 base hits as the San Diego Braves topped the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 5 to 0 at PETCO Park.
Gerrit Cole(17-5) looked very much in control throughout the night. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 3 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with no runs scored after that point.
Joey Krehbiel gained credit for his 1st save. Logan Gilbert(17-7) took the loss. He pitched 8 innings allowing 8 hits and 1 walk.
Hunter Brown racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts and left fielder Jose Siri hit a grand slam at El Nido de Aguilas as the blistering-hot Mexico City Aguilas Doradas beat the Kansas City Monarchs 7 to 2.
Brown(8-10) gave Mexico City a solid outing. He was reached for 7 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. Both teams ended up with 10 hits on the night. Shane Bieber(4-11) took the loss. He was unable to control the Mexico City offense and allowed 7 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
Brown was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the victory and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
