Otters Down Oakland, Clinch the Central Division; Braves Sweep Wranglers, Win Streak Stands at 8

Oakland (UBAN) - Kutter Crawford pitched 7 strong innings and Jarren Duran cracked a homer and had 4 RBI at Black Panther Park where the very talented Chicago Otters beat the Oakland Black Panthers 6 to 2 to clinch the Central Division crown.
Duran had a good day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 5th inning, ripped a base-hit in the 7th inning and lined a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 8th inning. Chicago finished with 13 hits while Oakland ended up with 5.
Crawford(13-6) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Crawford was helped out by Enyel De Los Santos who recorded his 8th save. Kirby Snead(2-3) was charged with the loss in relief. The Division title is the Otters' second in three years and the third in the franchise's 44 year history, the first coming in 2005.
Ryan O'Hearn slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the blistering-hot San Diego Braves beat the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 7 to 2.
O'Hearn made sure the San Diego fans enjoyed themselves. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 4th inning, banged out a single bringing in two baserunners in the 5th inning and doubled in the 7th inning. Both teams totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.
Thomas Hatch(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 5 innings. Michael Wacha(5-13) suffered the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 7 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
