Alvarez, Braves Shoot Down Aguilas Again; Blues Clinch Tie for South Title

San Diego (UBAN) - Yordan Alvarez rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at PETCO Park as the seemingly unstoppable San Diego Braves beat the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas by the count of 5 to 2.
It was a good day for San Diego thanks to Alvarez. He blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 8th inning. For the game San Diego out-hit Mexico City 9 to 3.
Ryan Pepiot(10-2) got the win allowing 2 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Pepiot was helped out by Josh Hader who recorded his 31st save. George Kirby(10-10) was given the loss. He surrendered 7 hits and 1 walk in 6 and 1/3 innings.
San Diego added another win to their mounting winning streak which now stands at ten.
In a close game it was the incredible New Orleans Blues 4, the Toledo Mud Hens 2 at The House of Blues.
Austin Gomber(9-8) earned his pay with a solid performance for New Orleans. He was reached for 5 hits and no walks in 7 innings. New Orleans finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Gomber got help from Bryan Abreu who was credited with his 30th save. The losing pitcher was John Brebbia(1-3) in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 4 hits in 1 inning.
