Highlanders Beat Stars to Repeat as Northern Champions; Harper Leads Seals to Victory Over Angels

New York (UBAN) - Center fielder Riley Greene had 4 hits and Spencer Strider racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts at Babe Ruth Park where the amazing New York Highlanders beat the Milwaukee Stars 4 to 1 and claim their seond straight Northern Division Championship and the twelfth in the franchise's 25 year history.

Strider(18-7) was solid in the win. He didn't give up much, just 5 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. New York had a total of 9 hits for the game.

Josh Winckowski preserved the game for Strider, recording his his 7th save. David Peterson(10-11) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around by New York, allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.

'Everything felt great' Strider said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody tonight.'

First baseman Bryce Harper jacked one out of the ballyard as the strong San Francisco Seals beat the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 5 to 3.

Pablo Lopez(15-9) earned his pay with a solid performance for San Francisco. He went 6 and 2/3 innings surrendering 6 hits and 2 walks. Both teams ended up with 7 hits on the night.

Lopez got relief help from Alexis Diaz who gained credit for his 18th save. Nick Sandlin(5-7) was charged with the loss in relief.

The San Francisco ballclub's record now stands at 92-61. With the loss, Los Angeles has a record of 5-5 lately, 89-63 overall.
