Chiefs Rally Past 'Hens, Trail Giants By 1; Seals Braves Continue Winning Ways

Atlanta (UBAN) - Tucker Barnhart hit one over the fence as the Atlanta Chiefs defeated the Toledo Mud Hens by a score of 5 to 4 at Truist Park.
Toledo was unable to claim the lead after Atlanta went ahead in the 7th inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. Barnhart began the Atlanta spurt when he smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Ha-Seong Kim was next and he slapped a base-hit. Kim stole second with some aggressive base running. Ronel Blanco then
unleashed a wild pitch. One out later, Andres Gimenez got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Taylor Ward added to the rally and drew a walk. Jurickson Profar next to the plate and he ripped a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. Toledo tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Kyle Bradish(12-7) got the win allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Bradish got help from Will Smith who was credited with his 24th save. The losing pitcher was Blanco(1-2) in relief.
The seemingly unstoppable San Francisco Seals defeated the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 5 to 1 at Angel Stadium.
Los Angeles was unable to climb back into it after San Francisco went ahead for good in the 2nd inning when they came up with 2 runs on 2 hits. That early scoring held up. San Francisco and Los Angeles each finished the night with 9 hits.
Justin Steele(10-9) allowed 1 run in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Cristian Javier (17-6) suffered the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 8 hits in 7 innings.
First baseman Ryan O'Hearn had 2 base hits and Andrew Kittredge had a strong outing at PETCO Park as the sizzling San Diego Braves beat the ice-cold Indianapolis Longhorns 6 to 3.
San Diego jumped on top to stay in the 6th inning when they scored 2 runs on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Ozzie Albies who made the San Diego fans a happy lot when he cracked a two-run shot. Josh Hader was perfect in the ninth giving him his 33rd save on the season.
Kittredge(2-0) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Dean Kremer(3-12) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 7 hits and no walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
