Mexico City (UBAN) - Yennier Cano went 3 strong innings as the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas beat the
Hawaii Islanders by a score of 5 to 3.
Mexico City came up with 2 runs in the 6th inning. After an out was recorded, Ji-Hwan Bae jump-started the rally as he drew a walk. After another out, Gabriel Moreno came to bat and cracked a two-run shot. Mexico City banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.
Cano(7-2) got the win allowing no runs in 3 innings. Camilo Doval earned his 40th save. Kendall Graveman(3-5) was hit with the loss in relief.
29,430 fans watched an exciting game at Globe Life Field. The Dallas Colts topped the San Diego Braves by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
The game was won by Dallas when they scored a run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Nico Hoerner laced a one-base hit. Kyle Tucker followed and he doubled scoring the run. The game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.
Shawn Armstrong(3-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Pete Fairbanks was credited with his 36th save. Brooks Raley(4-5) suffered the loss in relief.
The Nashville Sounds edged the Memphis Marauders at Sounds Field by the score of 6 to 5.
In the bottom of the 7th inning Nashville scored 2 runs when they came up with 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Stuart Fairchild who brought the crowd to their feet when he slapped a one-base hit scoring two baserunners. Memphis threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Peter Strzelecki(6-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and allowing no runs. Jhoan Duran gained credit for his 23rd save. Joe Mantiply(1-4) took the loss in relief.
