Baltimore (UBAN) - The Atlanta Chiefs cruised to a 6 to 1 victory over the Baltimore Elite Giants in 16 innings at Roy Campanella Field.
The score was tied at 1 after nine. Atlanta won the game in the 16th inning, scoring five runs. The crucial at-bat was provided by Dylan Carlson who quieted the crowd when he slapped a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Overall Atlanta out-hit Baltimore 10 to 7.
The victory went to Drew Smith(1-0) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs. Robert Suarez(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
