Soto, 7-Run Sixth Seal Allghenys' Fate in Game 1 in New Orleans

New Orleans (UBAN) - Juan Soto launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the New Orleans Blues defeated
the Pittsburgh Alleghenys 11 to 3 at The House of Blues to take the first game of their Eastern Division Series.
Soto had a good evening at the plate. He hit a bases-empty home run in the 1st inning, ripped a base-hit in the 3rd inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 6th inning. New Orleans ended up with 9 hits for the game while Pittsburgh had 6.
The win was credited to Justin Verlander(1-0) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs. Luis Castillo(1-1) was the loser. He allowed New Orleans 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings of work.
'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Soto said. 'Whenever I would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
