Highlanders Lose Lead, Then Rally Past 'Ghenys to Tie Series

New York (UBAN) - Gabriel Arias had 2 base hits - including the game-winner - and Ryan Borucki put on a clinic as the New York Highlanders defeated the Pittsburgh Alleghenys 6 to 4 in a see-saw battle at Babe Ruth Park to even the Eastern Conference Championship Series at one game apiece.
Ryan Borucki(2-0) won the game with a masterful relief performance. He didn't give up much, just 1 hit and no walks in 3 innings. New York and Pittsburgh each finished the night with 10 hits.
Justin Lawrence gained credit for his 2nd save. Luis Castillo(2-2) absorbed the loss. Despite losing, he struckout 9 New York batters in 6 innings.
