Chicago (UBAN) - Dustin May went 7 solid innings as the Chicago Otters defeated the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas by a score of 5 to 3 at Otter Park to take a 2 - 0 series lead.
Mexico City was unable to claim the lead after Chicago went ahead in the bottom of the 2nd inning as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Jordan Walker who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. Mexico City had a chance in the 9th, scoring three runs, but they came up short.
May(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 7 innings. George Kirby(1-1) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 11 hits and 1 walk.
The action shifts to Mexico City for Game #3. Jose Berrios will start for the Aguilas Doradas and Domingo German is the probable for the Otters.
