Pittsburgh's Luis Castillo Wins the Eastern Conference Denny Award as Top Pitcher

Baltimore (UBAN) - The FBBWAA has voted Luis Castillo of the Pittsburgh Alleghenys the 2024 Denny McLain AWard recipient for the Eastern Conference.
Castillo - who posted a 16 - 7 record - was the workhorse of the Allegheny rotation, leading the staff in starts (31) and logging 214.1 innings. He worked to a 3.32 ERA while striking out 234 opponents (9.8 per 9 innings). His WHIP was a stellar 1.02 - opponents hit .205 against him - and his WAR was 6.2.
