Snell, Cabrera Lead Longhorns Over Aguilas; 'Rats Tally Three in 9th to Trip Jacks

Mexico City (UBAN) - Second baseman Oswaldo Cabrera cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Indianapolis Longhorns bested the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 8 to 0 at El Nido de Aguilas.
Cabrera had a big day with his bat. He delivered a solo blast in the 3rd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 4th inning and stroked a single in the 8th inning. Mexico City was out-hit by Indianapolis, 14 hits to 4.
The win went to Blake Snell(1-0) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. Jose Berrios(0-1) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 and 1/3 innings of work.
In Jacksonville, second baseman Brice Turang blasted a grand slam as the Richmond Lab Rats defeated the Jacksonville Jacks by the score of 7 to 4 at Jacks Field.
Richmond had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs using 2 hits. Jeremy Pena led off and keyed the rally when he lined a base-hit. Pena was safe on a stolen base. After an out was recorded, Turang then ripped a single. Richmond continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. One out later, Emmanuel Rivera stepped in and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Kyle Isbel contributed to the rally and drew a walk which scored a run. Edwin Diaz then had one get away for a wild pitch bringing home one more runner. Lamonte Wade Jr then was walked intentionally to load the bases. Diaz then let loose a wild pitch scoring the final run of the inning. Hector Neris came throught with a perfect ninth inning to earn his 2nd save.
Jameson Taillon(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Brendon Little(0-1) took the loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk in 1 and 2/3 innings.
