Browns Blank Braves in Home Opener, Behind Ozuna, Lively; Colts Score 4 to Drop Saints in 11

St. Louis (UBAN) - Designated hitter Marcell Ozuna slammed 2 homeruns and Ben Lively went 7 solid innings at Sportsman's Park where the St. Louis Browns beat the San Diego Braves by the score of 3 to 0.
Lively(2-0) was in control of the game from the outset. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.
Robert Garcia preserved the game for Lively, recording his his 1st save. Drew Thorpe(0-1) suffered the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 7 innings.
In Salt Lake City, shortstop C.J. Abrams had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Saints Field as the Dallas Colts beat the Salt Lake City Saints in 11 innings 7 to 4.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Dallas won the hard fought contest in the 11th inning. The highlight belonged to Abrams who silenced the stadium when he stroked a one-base hit scoring two baserunners. Dallas had 9 hits for the afternoon.
The win was credited to Drew Smyly(1-0) who went 3 innings allowing 1 run. Paul Sewald was credited with his 1st save. The loss was charged to Scott Barlow(0-1) in relief.
