Yelich 3-Run HR in 8th Powers Death Lemurs Win; Ramirez Homers Twice as Seals KO Knights

Vancouver (UBAN) - In an entertaining game at Death Lemur Field the final score was the Vancouver Death Lemurs 6, the Pittsburgh Alleghenys 3.

Vancouver had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning when they came up with 4 runs on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Christian Yelich who excited the crowd when he rifled a three-run blast. Vancouver finished with 10 hits in the victory.

Hunter Harvey(2-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and allowing no runs. A.J. Puk earned the save, his 1st. Jared Shuster(1-1) ended up with the loss in relief.

In San Francisco, third baseman Jose Ramirez ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Seals Park as the San Francisco Seals beat the Seattle Knights by the count of 8 to 4.

The San Francisco fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ramirez. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning, blasted a solo shot in the 3rd inning and doubled in the 5th inning. San Francisco ended up with 14 hits for the game while Seattle had 11.

Reese Olson(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 5 innings. Austin Gomber(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 6 and 1/3 innings.
