New York (UBAN) - Erick Fedde took a no-hitter into the 8th inning and David Peralta had 2 base hits as the New York Highlanders outscored the San Diego Braves 4 to

Fedde(2-1) escaped virtually unscathed against the San Diego hitters. He didn't give up much, just 1 hit and 3 walks in 8 innings improving his ERA from 4.91 to 3.18. The right-handed Fedde lost his no-hit bid when Bo Naylor singled with one out in the 8th inning. New York had only 5 hits for the
night.
Ryan Pepiot(1-1) suffered the loss. Although losing the contest, he whiffed 11 batters in 6 and 2/3 innings.
At Monarch Stadium, right fielder Eli White had 3 base hits as the Kansas City Monarchs bested the Indianapolis Longhorns in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Kansas City won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Jose Leclerc then let one get away for a wild pitch. Kyle Manzardo stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk. Leclerc then threw a wild pitch giving Kansas City the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Kansas City finished with 12 hits while Indianapolis ended up with 8.
David Bednar(2-0) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. The loss was charged to Leclerc(0-1) in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing no hits and 1 walk.
