Sanchez Slam SEals Marauders'Win; Raleigh Homers Twice as Highlanders Nip Braves

Memphis (UBAN) - The Memphis Marauders bested the Louisville Sluggers by a 5 to 2 score at Marauders Park.
Louisville lost it in the 5th inning when Memphis did all their damage when they scored 5 runs on 3 hits. The big moment was provided by Jesus Sanchez who made the crowd happy when he emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun. Louisville could do no damage in the 9th.
Hunter Greene(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 2 runs. Greene was helped out by Ryan Walker who recorded his 4th save. Brady Singer(1-1) ended up with the loss.
In New York, Cal Raleigh ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the New York Highlanders defeated the San Diego Braves by the score of 5 to 4 at Babe Ruth Park.
Raleigh had a good evening at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun in the 5th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 7th inning. San Diego made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Brent Honeywell(1-1) allowed 2 runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Honeywell was helped out by Nate Pearson who recorded his 1st save. Michael Kopech(0-1) was the loser in relief.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Jimy Williams said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
