Pham HIts for Cycle as Bisons Take 6th Straight; Wells Homers Twice as Angels Nip Knights

Buffalo (UBAN) - Designated hitter Tommy Pham hit for the cycle and had 4 RBI as the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Toledo Mud Hens by a score of 10 to 7 at Sal Maglie Stadium.
Pham made sure the Buffalo fans enjoyed themselves. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, tripled plating two runs in the 5th inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 7th inning and lined a one-base hit in the 8th inning. Buffalo totaled 13 hits on the night.
The victory went to Clay Holmes(2-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Freddy Peralta(0-2) was charged with the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 4 and 2/3 innings.
Buffalo extended their winning streak to 6 games. Willie Randolph was in a great frame of mind in the clubhouse after the game, 'Everybody's contributing now. Timely hitting, some slick fielding plays and good pitching when we need it. Man, when that's happening, this sure is an easy job!'
In Los Angeles, catcher Austin Wells rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Los Angeles Angels outscored the Seattle Knights in 10 innings 6 to 5.
The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Los Angeles won the hard fought contest in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Josh Rojas drew a walk. Blaze Alexander struck out, unable to help the rally. Enmanuel Valdez then laced a base-hit giving Los Angeles the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Los Angeles out-hit Seattle for the game, 11 hits to 6.
The win went to Andres Munoz(1-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Ian Hamilton(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
