Walker Has A Day for the Jacks; Larnach Walks-Off Marauders as Blues Rally Late to Win

Mexico City (UBAN) - First baseman Christian Walker smashed 2 homeruns and drove in seven teammates and Mason Miller closed it out for Jacksonville as the Jacksonville Jacks bested the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas 12 to 9 at El Nido de Aguilas.
Walker had a great day at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 3rd inning and depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run in the 4th inning. Jacksonville won despite being out-hit by Mexico City 13 hits to 10.
The win went to Josh Staumont(1-1) who allowed 2 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Staumont got help from Miller who earned his 3rd save. Charlie Morton(0-3) absorbed the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 6 hits and 5 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
In a thriller in New Orleans, the Blues staged a dramatic comeback over the Memphis Marauders winning by a score of 7 to 5 at The House of Blues.
New Orleans had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs using 2 hits. Trent Grisham led off and he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Hill got a great jump and stole second easily. Jose Iglesias then doubled which scored a run. Trevor Larnach was up next and he bombed a
two-run dinger giving New Orleans the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Memphis out-hit New Orleans 14 to 10, but New Orleans ended up
with more runs.
Daniel Hudson(2-1) allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning, and picked up the victory. Chad Green(0-1) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 runs in 1/3 of an inning and saw his ERA jump from 1.69 to 4.76.
Jim Palmer was ebullient after the game, 'It's great to win a hard fought game like that. Our guys just weren't going to be denied. And did you see the fans - they were going wild! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win this afternoon!'
