Black Panther Party Rallies for 3 in 8th to Edge the Otters; Rosario HR Walk-Offs Chiefs as Bisons W

Oakland (UBAN) - One run was the difference at Black Panther Park as the Oakland Black Panthers scored three in the home eighth to edge the Chicago Otters 6 to 5.
Oakland came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs on 3 base hits. Tyler Fitzgerald kicked off the action when he doubled. Matt Wallner next to the plate and he bombed a two-run dinger. Randal Grichuk followed, but he was set down on strikes. One out later, Heston Kjerstad came to the plate and reached on an error. Moore stole second with some aggressive base running. Jorge Alcala then threw a wild pitch. Joey Bart followed next and he ripped a single scoring the final run of the inning. Oakland had 8 hits for the night.
Greg Weissert(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Kirby Yates got the save, his 2nd. Alcala(1-2) was the loser in relief.
At Sal Maglie Park first baseman Spencer Horwitz had 3 base hits as the Buffalo Bisons won a thriller over the Atlanta Chiefs in, 5 to 4.
The game was won by Buffalo with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Eguy Rosario ripped a solo home run giving Buffalo the win as 35,767 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Atlanta was out-hit by Buffalo, 12 hits to 9.
Shelby Miller(2-1) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. T.J. McFarland(1-2) took the loss in relief. By giving up 1 run without retiring a batter his ERA increased from 3.52 to 4.70.
