Correa Homers Twice as Sounds Rally to Walk-Off Monarchs; Kremer Fans 10 as Longhorns Subdue Knights

Nashville (UBAN) - Carlos Correa smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Sounds Field as the Nashville Sounds staged a comeback win over the Kansas City Monarchs by the count of 6 to 5.
Nashville won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits. After two were out Manuel Margot got things rolling when he delivered a solo blast. Eric Haase followed and he delivered a one-base hit. Mickey Moniak then doubled giving Nashville the win as 19,904 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Nashville managed 10 hits in their victory.
The win was credited to Anthony Banda(2-0) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs. Jojo Romero(0-1) took the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2 hits in 2 and 1/3 innings.
'Wow, that was fun!', Banda said following the game. 'Once in a while you play a game that reminds you just why you got into this business to begin with!'
In Indianapolis, Dean Kremer retired 10 batters on strikeouts as the Longhorns beat the Seattle Knights by a score of 2 to 1.
Kremer(2-0) pitched well for Indianapolis in their victory. He allowed 5 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA from 4.76 to 3.78. Seattle had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Kremer got help from Robert Suarez who earned his 6th save. Austin Gomber(2-2) suffered the loss. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Kremer offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept
them busy this afternoon - of course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
