McCann Homers 3 Times to Pace Elite Giants; Miller Fans 12 as Stars End Winless Skein

Baltimore (UBAN) - Kyle McCann smashed 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Baltimore Elite Giants defeated the Jacksonville Jacks 8 to 2 at Roy Campanella Field.
McCann was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 3rd inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 5th inning. Baltimore out-hit Jacksonville for the game, 10 hits to 7.
The win was credited to Nathan Eovaldi(2-3) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs. Tanner Bibee(0-4) was the losing pitcher. 'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Eovaldi said. 'It's great to be back on the winning side of things.'
In Milwaukee, Bryce Miller racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts at Miller Park as the Stars beat the Los Angeles Angels 5 to 2, ending their ten-game losing streak.
Miller(4-1) was solid in the win. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings and surrendered 2 'round-trippers' lowering his ERA from 3.56 to 3.29. Milwaukee had 8 hits for the game and Los Angeles had 4.
Kenley Jansen got the save, his 4th. J.P. Sears(2-3) was the loser. Miller was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the victory and I'll sure take 12 strikeouts anytime!'
