Lindor Belts a Pair of Homers as Hens Top Highlanders; Alleghenys Hand Longhorns First Home Loss

Toledo (UBAN) - Shortstop Francisco Lindor cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Toledo Mud Hens topped the floundering New York Highlanders by a score of 7 to 3 at Klinger Field.
Lindor helped send the fans home happy. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 3rd inning, ripped a solo home run in the 5th inning and laced a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Toledo rapped out 10 hits for the night.
The win went to Lance Lynn(4-1) who allowed no runs in 5 innings. Lynn got help from Tim Hill who earned his 2nd save. Reid Detmers(2-2) absorbed the loss. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 6 and 2/3 innings.
In a two run game in Indianapolis, the Pittsburgh Alleghenys got by the Longhorns by the score of 7 to 5.
Pittsburgh brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 2nd inning. Rowdy Tellez began things off when he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Ernie Clement stepped up to the plate and he reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Clement was safe at second on a stolen base. Jared Triolo was the next batter, but he struck out. Nick Fortes came up to bat and drew a walk. Ryan Feltner then let a pitch get away from him. David Hamilton next to the plate and he stroked a base-hit which accounted for two additional runs. Hamilton took second on the throw. Indianapolis threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Kyle Freeland(4-0) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Jalen Beeks earned his 4th save. Feltner(2-2) suffered the loss. 'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Yadier Molina said. 'We did what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
