Springer, Witt Power Braves Past Lemurs; Otters Outlast Aguilas as Duran Stars

San Diego (UBAN) - George Springer cracked 2 homeruns at PETCO Park where the San Diego Braves beat the Vancouver Death Lemurs by the score of 4 to 2.
San Diego claimed the early lead in the first inning plating 2 runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Springer jump-started the scoring when he cracked a solo homerun. Bobby Witt Jr came next and he doubled. One out later, Ryan O'Hearn then ripped a base-knock scoring the final run of the
inning. San Diego out-hit Vancouver for the game, 7 hits to 4.
Drew Thorpe(1-1) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Thorpe got help from Calvin Faucher who was credited with his 1st save. The loss was charged to Joey Estes(1-3). He surrended 3 homeruns in his 7 innings.
Jarren Duran had 4 hits and 2 RBI at El Nido de Aguilas as the Chicago Otters beat the Mexico City Aguilas Doradas by the count of 9 to 7.
Duran was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 1st inning, ripped a base-hit in the 3rd inning, tripled in the 4th inning and lined a single in the 6th inning. Chicago finished with 14 hits in the victory.
Cole Sands(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings. Jose Berrios(3-3) was hit with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 12 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.
